Museum Tour

Your guide will meet you in the museum courtyard and take you around the museum to tell the stories of prolific writers William Cowper and John Newton.

Throughout 2023 we continue to commemorate 250 years since “Amazing Grace” was written and your guide will tell you about the death defying experience which inspired John Newton to write this epic hymn.

Other highlights on the tour include original manuscripts along with gems such as two original miniatures by William Blake.

You will then have the opportunity to explore the museum and gardens at your leisure.

The cost of joining the tour is £3 per person. This is in addition to the standard admission to the museum if you do not have an annual pass. A standard adult admission will grant an annual pass.

Please be aware that places are limited to 12. You can turn up and pay on the day, but would recommend booking in advance in the museum shop or by emailing: info@cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk
