Applique Demonstration

Applique Demonstration

Inspired by the recently restored William Cowper counterpane, and flowers in the Cowper and Newton Museum garden, local textile artist Julie Williams has created a series of pieces using raw edge applique. Julie will be demonstrating the technique on Thursday 15th and Thursday 22nd August at the Cowper and Newton Museum from 2.00 – 4.00pm.

Entry fee:  £4  (single entry garden entry fee –  as the demonstration will take place in the marquee in the Summer House Garden), or use your previously purchased annual pass.  If you would like an annual pass, then purchase one on the day for only £10 which includes visits to our gardens and museum throughout the year.

You will also be able to see her work as part of the ‘Now I See’ exhibition in the Three Hares Gallery during usual opening hours from the 3rd until 30th August 2024. (Free entry to the gallery – usual admission applies for the gardens and museum).
