18th Century Crafts – Free Hands On Family Activity at the Museum

Families are invited for a free hands on activity at the museum with an 18th Century theme. Delve into the world of 18th century letter writing and find out how William Cowper and John Newton would have written, signed and sealed their correspondence. Have a go at ink feather quill writing and wax sealing for yourself. Plus, there will also be a letter block printing activity. Take home anything you make!
This is a drop in activity taking place in the museum’s large garden marquee. Standard garden or house and garden admission only applies to adults (no admission fee for children). Annual pass holders gain free entry. No need to book!
Did you know that children and young people under the age of 16 have free entry when accompanied by a paying adult?
Come and try for yourself
