Frances Fox
After graduating from Liverpool University, Frances spent twelve years living, working, and studying abroad. She later returned to the UK with an MA in Creative Arts Therapy, balancing caring responsibilities with her artistic ambitions. Though she longed to paint full-time, her practice was often sporadic. Yet, during these years, she developed a rich internal library of colours, textures, and patterns—deeply influenced by travels to India, Nepal, and Tibet, where she co-founded and worked with Art Refuge, a UK-based charity.
When her caring duties ended, Frances embraced change. Placing her belongings into storage, she set out to travel the world. Carrying a portable art studio, she reconnected with her creative voice, painting more freely and immersing herself in the joy of expression.
Now based at Westbury Arts Centre, Frances works in a spacious, light-filled studio among a vibrant community of artists. Her abstract, intuitive style reflects her journeys across Asia, her love of nature, and inspiration drawn from Van Gogh, Yayoi Kusama, and David Hockney. Her canvases are alive with colour, energy, and playful mark-making, inviting curiosity and joy.
Frances’s journey—spanning international work, caregiving, and global travel—shapes a unique artistic perspective rooted in exploration, emotion, and beauty.

Will Wheeler
Will has long held a love of landscape and the natural environment. With a first degree in Geography followed by a masters in Landscape Architecture, he was until recently a practising chartered landscape architect whose public realm and parks design work has won awards and commendations over the course of a forty-year career.
Of Anglo-Norwegian descent, Will has a particular affinity for wild and expansive landscapes, particularly those of Scandinavia. He spent time working in both Finland and Italy before moving to Milton Keynes in the late 80s.
Will is now enjoying being able to solely focus on his own personal creativity, immersing himself in his long-held love of painting. He primarily, but not exclusively, focuses on landscapes, working in oils and, less commonly, charcoal and pastel. He particularly delights in the play of weather and light upon the landscape and exploring atmosphere and attachment.
