Your support is vital and helps the Cowper & Newton Museum share it’s collection.
As a charity the Museum relies on donations. Gifts support the care, preservation, and display of our collections.
With the Museum closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, your support is vitally important.
Every donation makes a real difference.
If you’re able, please support the Cowper & Newton Museum today.
Thank you.
Our museum is run by wonderful volunteers, reporting to the House Manager.
Our success is due to their enthusiasm and commitment. They welcome our visitors, serve in the shop, help conserve our artefacts, keep our gardens looking gorgeous, and raise funds through all sorts of special events.
Our volunteers receive full training and on-going support, invites to exclusive social events, and make a real contribution to one of Olney’s most significant tourist attractions.
As a Friend of the Cowper & Newton Museum you become a part of our history. Your membership helps conserve the historic collection, the museum buildings and gardens & enables us to continue to share the story for future generations.
Membership will include free entry to the museum and gardens, plus a twice-yearly newsletter.
The ‘Georgian Dancers of Amazing Grace’ are volunteers of the Cowper & Newton Museum. They perform 18th century country dances at events raising funds for and awareness of our historically important heritage site.
The dancers learn weekly, tackling new dance steps, learning about 18th century etiquette and are blessed with the most enthusiastic teachers and volunteers.
All eyes are set to be on Olney in 2023, when the town will be at the centre of commemorations to mark the 250th anniversary of one of the world’s most beloved hymns, ‘Amazing Grace’.
