Join a guided tour to find out more about the transatlantic slave trade and abolition through the museum’s collection.

The event marks The International Day for the Remembrance of the Slave Trade.

Places are limited to 10.

Tour time:  11:15am – 12:15pm

Free with an annual pass (or purchase yours for only £10 on arrival to enjoy using it to visit the museum and gardens all year round).

Our Museum building remains CLOSED.  We are opening our gardens on limited entry.  The Cowper & Newton Museum gardens will be open to welcome you on Wednesday 5th August 10.30 – 12.15 and Saturday 8th August 10.30 – 12.15
