History of Allotments – evening talk

History of Allotments – evening talk

Enjoy an evening talk by Elaine, our Head Gardener of the Summer House Garden about the history of Allotments and their purpose, from 16th Century to present day.

Why do we have Allotments?  What purpose do they serve?  How have they changed over the years, and why are they an integral part of every day life?

Event free with an annual pass or £5 on the night. Glass of Pimms will be available for a donation towards the upkeep of our heritage site. This is an all-weather event to be held in our summer marquee.  (You might like to purchase your annual pass for only £10 on the evening to be able to visit the museum and gardens throughout the year).
