Fused Glass Workshops by Sally McRae
Fused Glass Workshops
by Sally McRae
Fancy having a go at working with glass? This is a great way of giving it a try. Thursday 29th August in our Summer Events Marquee
Two 1 hour session between 1-2pm and 3-4pm for up to 6 people per session. PLEASE BOOK YOUR SESSION IN ADVANCE – ONLY 6 PLACES AVAILABLE AT EACH ONE.
The workshops are perfect for beginners and those with some experience. Sally will teach you how to cut glass and help you design and make a hanging light catcher measuring 5cm x 15cm. After the workshop Sally will take your creations home and fire them in her kiln. They will be ready to collect from the Museum on Friday 6th September.
Cost is £25 per session and includes a variety of glass, tools and safety equipment. Usual admission charges do not apply.
The workshops are aimed at adults, teenagers are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent/responsible adult.
Please note: Do not wear sandals/flip flops or any other open shoes, it really hurts if a piece of glass gets stuck between your foot and your shoe and if you are not wearing suitable footwear you will not be able to take part – sorry!
