DESCRIPTION:Easter Fun for Everyone!\n                  \nHave fun with the children’s activities in the museum and gardens.  Enjoy a day out exploring Olney Town, with its beautiful historic buildings, gorgeous walks and wide variety of places to eat!\n\nEducational trail £1 (5-10 year olds):    All about ‘Creatures of the Water’ (includes a small prize)\nFree fun: Dress up in 18th century costumes and Easter colouring sheets.\nSo much to see inside the museum – 9 historic rooms full of fascinating 18th century artefacts that once belonged to William Cowper and his family.\nOur Three Hares Art Gallery (on the third floor) – click here for exhibition information: GALLERY  ( https://cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk/gallery/ )\nUnwind and listen to the birds in our two beautiful tranquil gardens.  You might be inspired to draw and paint, or even write a poem here as Cowper would have done 250 years ago.  We are busy creating a bog garden and scentful camomile lawn – see our progress.  Talk to our gardeners on Wednesday and Friday mornings.\nEnjoy picnics with family and friends in our gardens – we have plenty of benches.\nYou may just want to bring a packed lunch and a good book and spend the day relaxing in our gardens.\nTreat yourself to a plant from our Plant Sale table in the courtyard.\n\nPlease note that we are also open on Good Friday 3rd April 2026.\nUsual opening hours and admission charges apply\n \n
