DESCRIPTION:As we commemorate 250 years since “Amazing Grace” was written, join one of our collections experts for this special “Behind the Scenes” event as we reveal pages from John Newton’s books and manuscripts not normally on show to the public. Handle some books, take a look at his handwriting and learn more about his passion for Polly.\nThese event, which runs for only two dates in November, will take place in the Three Hares Gallery where you will also have the opportunity to see artwork by contemporary artist Jenna Brasier.\nPlaces are limited to 10 so please book early by either visiting the museum shop or by emailing: info@cowperandnewtonmuseum.org.uk.\nThe cost of the event is £3.00. If you wish to visit the museum as well, the adult admission fee of £8.00 will also apply.  \n\n
