Debbie lived in Cranfield and then Olney. Debbie’s daughter recently donated her mothers collection to the museum.\nOur first Lace Day:\n\nWatch lace makers working at their pillows, eager to answer your questions and inspire you to take up this fine hobby.\nOur pop-up lace shop, for this day only, selling old and new lace, bobbins, threads, books patterns and prickings.\nRefreshments with Cattern cakes and a hot beverage.\n\nThere often wanders one, whom better days\nSaw better clad, in cloak of satin trimmed\nWith lace, and hat with splendid ribbon bound.\nA serving-maid was she…          by William Cowper, The Task (Book 1, The Sofa)\nUsual admission applies.  Refreshments:  Hot drink and Cattern cakes £3.50\n
